Eves on the River : Scott + Kate

With a vintage/rustic theme, Scott and Kate were married on Saturday 9th November, 2013 at Eves on the River. They exchanged vows in the breeze beside the Brisbane river at Teneriffe under the shade of a tree with hanging white paper lanterns. Their celebrations with family and friends continued in the restaurant at Eves on the River.

Kate is a hairdresser and in 2012 she met Scott when he became one of her clients.

On Rainy Australia day  in 2013, Scott returned home from a 6 week trip to Europe with his daughter. He detoured on the way home from the airport to pick up the ring he had chosen and proposed pretty much as soon as he walked in the door. He got down on one knee and then later took me to Jellyfish for dinner, which is where we had our first date.

Special Wedding Day Moment: The whole day was magical from start to finish it is too hard to pick one. But Scott’s daughter Layla sad an amazing speech and there was not a dry eye in the house. Very touching.

Special thanks to Robyn Nicolle for tailoring our ceremony to really represent us and the love that we share, Eves for the good food, wine and service. And of course Chris and Sonia for capturing our day beautifully.

What was you experience like having Chris & Sonia from Sterling Studios photograph your wedding? Chris & Sonia were so pleasant and professional on the day. They are organised, experienced and passionate and this shows in their photography. They made us feel comfortable, thus making the experience very enjoyable.

Advice for other brides-to-be: Be organised. There is beauty in Simplicity. Have fun, cause its the best day of your life!
